In a surprising partnership that defies usual expectations, the game developer has unveiled an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Questline Uncovered
According to the authorized statement, "A mysterious meeting leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where whispers of banned practices and monstrous changes echo through the shadows." The plot presents a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a hidden cult.
The questline focuses on "bizarre trials and a fearsome foe" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Places and Changes
The teaser showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer ends with a dramatic moment showing a character, presumably the captive, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who successfully complete the quest will obtain an unique katana alongside numerous artifacts hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
